PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Gina runs a very special program for educators that is a fun-filled workshop using music, movement and simple games to get your students thinking creatively. Using songs from her Parents' Choice Approved CD, Together, along with her background in Orff-Schulwerk and as an actress, improviser and clown, Gina takes you through a series of activities that will have you and your students up and moving and creating in the moment, all while addressing State Content Standards for Pre-K and Preschool education head-on. Gina's energetic and open approach allows for ideas to develop organically and for each person to participate on their own comfort level. You won't be able to help yourself, you'll have to sing, dance and play! And those who are shy need not be afraid as Gina's ability to "trick" people into arts participation is unmatched.

With arts fading from our schools there is no better time to take an integrative approach that allows educators of all types to draw from and incorporate the special benefits of musical, theatrical and arts activities in the classroom. Gina has presented for chapters of the Association for the Education for Young Children in Ohio and for the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music Professional Development Workshop series for Music Specialists and Elementary School Teachers. TEACHING ARTIST AND ARTS OUTREACH
Gina has worked with the Brooklyn Conservatory in providing programs for youth of all ages that incorporate songs, Orff instruments (xylophones, drums and recorders), choral works and theater. She is an expert, even a pioneer in leading theatrical camps and performances where children are guided to create their own material consisting of a mixture of spoken word, choreography and drama all supported by multi-culturally based kids' musical ensembles.
